We are pleased to confirm our main speaker this year will be Matthew Parris Matthew Parris worked for the Foreign Office and the Conservative Research Department before serving as MP for West Derbyshire. He joined The Times as parliamentary sketch writer in 1988, a post he held for 13 years. An award winning columnist, he now writes two weekly columns for the paper and most recently, in 2015, won the British Press Award for Political Journalist of the Year. He broadcasts for radio and television, and presents the biographical programme Great Lives on BBC Radio 4. He is also a regular columnist for The Spectator. Matthew won the Orwell Prize for his acclaimed autobiography, Chance Witness, published in 2002.
Our comic speaker this year will be Bob Webb Bob Webb is a comedian with many years experience working in leading hotels and venues around the world. He moved to Wales in 1977 from London where his career began, and has emerged as one of the UK’s leading guest speakers. Bob is a firm favourite on the after-dinner circuit and also at various sporting functions; his unique, relaxed, comedy style, along with some very funny original material is suitable for most occasions. He also works regularly on cruise liners enabling him to perform the cabaret act which has brought him success throughout his career.

The Grand Ballroom foyer bar opens at 12 noon and lunch is served at 1pm sharp! We ask that you ensure your party is seated before the top table guests arrive.
Once again we will be holding a prize draw and auction with all proceeds being divided between Bliss and the Variety Club.
The cost per head for the lunch is £155
Tables are mainly for groups of 10 or 12, with a few available for 14; smaller parties or individuals will be grouped together
Payment to confirm bookings must be received by Wednesday 1st November, as this is our deadline to make advance payment to the Hilton
Wine lists will be circulated in November and orders for wine should be placed direct with the Hilton banqueting Department prior to the event
