Hankley Common - 14th May 2024

Following on from the fabulous day at Blackmoor,  our third golf event of the year was held at Hankley Common and what a fantastic day it was.  After a few troubles on the wretched M25 early in the morning and a little bit of juggling with the tee times, we had a very good turnout with 51 playing and we welcomed a new member, Neil Kirby.  We also welcomed Matt Bishop from The Wooden Spoon.  Many players remarked that the course was in immaculate condition and it being one of their favourites to play!  We were extremely well looked after by the staff and were spoiled with a lovely lunch after play.

The day was very generously sponsored by Qualitair and I think everyone agreed the prizes, some rather special wines, were excellent and well received.  Thank you Ian Richens.

Also thanks go to Les White who stood in for Stuart on the day for the prize-giving.  A job well done Les!

I must also mention that the winner of the Old Sod’s trophy was David Hicks with a score of net 75, just pipping his friend Tim Bygate by one shot! Well played David.  You will also notice that we had a lot of “count backs” for the prizes too!

My thanks go to Wayne Wilson for being the photographer of the day.  Much appreciated.

Congratulations to the following prize winners:
