The objectives of the AGS are to promote contact, communication and friendship between executives in the Aircraft and Defence industries, by members and their guests playing golf together, on the most beautiful and well known courses in the country.

Another way of putting it is that the AGS is a happy band of friendly welcoming businessmen and golfers in the Aircraft Industry, determined to have some relaxation at their favourite sport to counteract the pressures of business

The AGS also has charitable aims, with proceeds from money raised going to nationally recognized charities chosen by the captain and the members.
