Blackmoor 20th April 2023
On to our second event of the year and what a wonderful day it was too! It turned out to be a beautiful sunny day and perfect for Aran to have his drive-in. A brilliant drive down the first hole – and just like Mark at the previous event, with a brilliant “follow through” – we should all take note! With a lovely swing like that, it was no surprise that your Captain came 2nd on the day with 34 points. Clearly Aran’s guests were learning a few tips as two of his team won 1st and 2nd visitor prizes!
The course was in superb condition and the players couldn’t speak highly enough about it after their 18 holes. The Halfway Hut is perfectly positioned and sitting outside in the sun for a few minutes halfway round was a bonus. Members and guests were treated to a lovely 3-course lunch after play. Blackmoor is a beautiful course and we will be returning in 2024 – one not to be missed next year!
The day was very kindly sponsored by Greenfleets Ltd. Stephen Greenstreet stepped in last minute to take on the sponsorship and provided some fabulous prizes and gifts for the players. Very much appreciated and thank you Stephen.
