​Sunningdale 22nd August 2019

It was a beautiful sunny day and Sunningdale was in an outstanding condition.  When the sun is out everyone is “upbeat” and the expectations are high and they were all ready for a great day out.  We had a really good turnout of members and guests and “Astute” seemed to be the name of the day with Aran Coker (Astute) – who seems to be on a little bit of a roll having won at West Hill in July - now here to win another trophy with 36 points. (A second handicap cut - ouch!) If he had completed one of the holes on the course he may even have won another trophy – who knows - but this one was awarded to Kevin Ramshaw for an extremely good score of Gross 74.  Well done to both of you.  Kevin’s guest was top of the list for the Visitors and had a great score of 37 points.
Andrew Sanders’ guests won the afternoon greensomes by 1 point.
 
The day was very generously sponsored by Astute and we had several representatives from the Company playing on the day, led by our Past Captain, Mark Shanley.  My thanks to Gary Sewell who did a great job standing in for our Captain and to Mark who very ably and mischievously stood in for our
Hon Sec - the prizegiving was full of fun!  The fabulous prizes were handed out by the Owner/Managing Director of Astute, Geoff Hill.
