The Captain's Day at St. George's Hill - 5th April 2023
Well, the first event of the 2023 AGS golfing year! It was wonderful to be back on the golf course at our “Home Club” – St George’s Hill. We welcomed a full field for the day. Aran was unable to attend but Mark took his place on the first tee and what a terrific drive! I think we would all like a “follow through” like yours Mark – we could learn a lot from the photo! Thank you Mark for “standing in” for Aran for the day.
We were so incredibly lucky with the weather too, managing to find a clear and warmer day than we had experienced in the last few weeks. The course was in an amazing condition and the lunch that followed didn’t disappoint either. As always, the first of the season creates a lovely atmosphere in the dining room and after at the prize-giving.
The Halfway Hut and the fabulous prizes were very generously sponsored by your Captain, Aran Coker. Thank you Aran.
Your Captain has chosen AFPST as his charity for the year and we hope that you will very generously support this wonderful charity throughout the year. Elizabeth Burgess from AFPST joined us for lunch and gave us a few words about the charity which were very well received. Thank you.
The nearest the pin entries and blob bucket were well supported so thank you all for your kind donations.
Many thanks Wayne Wilson and Rob Clark for the photographs.
