The Captain's Day at St. George's Hill
This was a great day and many of you came to see your new Captain, Steve Fitzgerald 'drive in' first thing in the morning.
Steve had a really good Captain’s Day and he supplied some fabulous prizes for the winners. He also very generously sponsored the Halfway House, which I am sure some of you enjoyed!
We had a representative from The British Heart Foundation, which is Steve’s Charity for this year and she gave a short but very informative speech on the work and the aims of the Charity.
The following were the winners on the day:
Members:
1st Gary Sewell 36 points
2nd John McCarthy (new member) 34 points
3rd Aran Coker (new member) 33 points
Visitors:
1st Dougie Drummond 34 points
2nd John Thorne 32 points
3rd Adger Brown 31 points ocb
Mervyn Grubb Gary Sewell
Johnny Peake Tim Bygate
Veterans Tony Daly
We had a wonderful finale to the day when the AGS presented a Variety Club Sunshine Coach to a very well-deserving School, the New Horizon School from St Leonards on Sea.
We were lucky enough to have with us some representatives from the Variety Club with Jamie Little and Adger Brown in attendance. It was a very special occasion and thank you to all the members who waited until the School representatives arrived to drive the Coach home.
Look forward to seeing as many as possible of you at Parkstone on 25th April.
