Walton Heath 25th September 2019
Another fabulous golf day at one of the most prestigious courses in Surrey. A very tricky course but I believe it was in excellent condition. As always, the day was enjoyed by members and guests alike and we were treated to an excellent meal after play in our own private room.
One of our new members had a brilliant day and managed an amazing 42 points. Obviously he had the traditional handicap cut of 2 – that hurts on your first outing as a member! He was followed by our own Vice-Captain, Gary Sewell with 37 points – also another handicap cut! Gary beat Kevin Nicholls by one point and Kevin also won “The Nearest The Pin”.
The day was very generously sponsored by People Craft, represented by Kevan Bishop and the prizes were a fabulous array of rather special “bottles”. Our Captain sponsored The “Nearest The Pin” and supplied some lovely “bubbles”, but he unfortunately could not attend on the day. So, many thanks again to Gary Sewell for standing in for our Captain and also to Stuart Burdess who kindly stood in for our Hon Sec, Tony Cash for the prize-giving.
Many congratulations to the following prize winners:
Members:
1st Gavin McFayden 42 points (handicap cut of 2) – Trans-Aero Trophy
2nd Gary Sewell 37 points (handicap cut of 1)
3rd Kevin Nicholls 36 points
Visitors:
1st Karl Garner 38 points (ocb Back 9)
2nd Richard Martin 38 points
3rd Mark MacIntyre 35 points
Nearest The Pin: Kevin Nicholls
